Dragonheart

Isn't he just stunning? I am so glad that I found Dragonheart's blog. I used to think that Sphynx cats were rather bizarre, but Dragonheart has taught me that they are just as cute and cuddly as any other cat. I have learned a lot about the breed from his blog and I am grateful for the opportunity to correct my misconceptions.

                                    Dragonheart has nimble toes,
Frootbat ears and the cutest nose.
                                               He doesn't have fur,
                                               But that doesn't deter
Him from striking an Egyptian pose.

Miles

Miles lives with his brother Sammy. They are now a two cat family since Norton and Trixie went to the Bridge. They get along pretty well, though Sammy claims all the toys and Miles claims all the ham. Their blog is called Meezer Tails and I love reading it. This limerick is about a burning desire Miles has.

Meezer Miles wants to walk on the ceiling.
He yearns for Velcro with feeling.
With strips on ceiling and walls
And cool shoes on the balls
Of his feet, he'll race 'cross the ceiling.

Dictionary Entry

Karen Jo --

[noun]:

A real life muppet

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com

I just found this over at Skeezix's blog and my answer was so apt and funny that I just had to post it.

Tara, Meezer Princess

Tara is a very cute Meezer Princess, who has lots of adventures. I have just discovered her blog recently and I really enjoy reading it. She has alerted the CatBlogosphere to the dangers of CECs -- Cat Eating Coyotes. Here she is showing off her technique on her stuffed coyote.

Tara is a Meezer Princess.
Everything she tries meets with success.
She kicks her coyote
And grabs his throaty.
She scares vishus deer while in harness.

Fat Eric is an large, long-haired ginger cat who lives in London. He really enjoys being a spoilt only cat, though he may get a sibling soon. He started the Gorgeous Gingers club and is quite active in the CatBlogosphere. He loves going outside and looking at the birds and the flowers. Sometimes Evil Intruder Kitties invade his garden, but he is quick to chase them off. He also loves his scratchy mouse and takes it with him when he goes visiting.

Fat Eric has the floofiest tail
I ever did see on a feline male.
It can swish and sway.
It switches in play
Enough to stir up a gale.

Rocky the Gutter Cat

Here's Rocky, doing one of his favorite things, sleeping on his back. This self-styled geezer cat has quite an exciting life. He's a mostly outdoor cat and his two favorite places to hang out are in the gutter in front of his house and the catmint patch. He has collected himself a harem of Spicy Vixens, who adore him. It's a little cold out for Rocky and his Spicy Vixens to party in the catmint patch, so he has been looking for a suitable place indoors. He thought that the tunnel box would be just perfect, but Skeezix didn't like that idea at all. The tunnel box is now quite a bit worse for wear, but Rocky is still ready to party. He and his brother Mao make cans of Vishus Deer Repellent for all the kitties who have a problem with vishus deer invading their yards. Not long before Christmas last year, there was a slight problem.

Rocky had an industrial accident,
Which caused such a ferocious scent,
That all vishus deer
Will stay away for a year,
So strong is Mao and Rocky's repellent.

Kukka-Maria

Here is Kukka-Maria at her most alluring, trying to drive the tomcats wild. Kukka is a celebrity cat, who hobnobs with the rich and famous on a regular basis. She is beautiful and smart. She also has the most celebrated multiple nipples in the world.

All hail the great Kukka-Maria!
She's the Empress of all she can see-a!
Every tomcat who's able
Wants to be in her stable,
But she's choosy, is Kukka-Maria.

Jeter Harris

I haven't been reading Jeter Harris for long, but he is a very interesting cat. He is always up to something and he has a great time doing it.

Laffin' and laffin' is Jeter Harris
But nobody should be embarrassed.
He's just full of joy,
This light-hearted boy,
This master of fun, Jeter Harris.

Victor Tabbycat

Victor is a mischevious kitty who has been tormenting his older sister Bonnie for about a year and a half now. He doesn't do it deliberately; he just want to play with her, but that's not the way she sees it. He has lots of fun and knows all the best ways to get treats, especially spinning.

Victor Tabbycat put his gears in zoom
To take his toy to the other room,
But the string so stout
Pulled the toy from his mout'.
Poor Victor was halted mid-zoom!

Eddie

I have been reading William of Mass Destruction's blog for a long time and got to know Eddie mostly though updates on how he was doing. I was very sad to read that he had passed away on Sunday. William, Olivia, Caroline and the rest of the family will miss him very much.

With heavy hearts we say farewell to Eddie.
His family knew it was coming, but they could never be ready.
Now we are all sad,
But it's not all bad.
Running and playing at the Bridge is dear Eddie.

The Great Tunnel Box War

We interrupt your regularly scheduled limericks to bring you breaking news on the Great Tunnel Box War between Rocky and Skeezix. Apparently the was has now ended with great devastation. I couldn't bring myself to reprint the picture of the awful aftermath, but you can see it on Skeezix's blog. Just scroll down for the picture of the (sob) destroyed tunnel box.

Rocky stole a tunnel box.
To keep it he gave Skeezik knocks.
Now brave Skeezix sports a scar
And he and Rocky went to war.
The greatest casualty was the tunnel box.

Gizzy

I don't have a photo of Gizzy because I am not sure if it is polite to copy a picture from another blog. I wanted to get this up as soon as possible to help spread the word. Gizzy isn't doing well and his vet bills are mounting. Millie's Mom is selling cat quilts to help pay the bills. For more information visit Millie's or Skeezix's blogs. I haven't mastered the art of the embedded link yet, so that's the best I can do for now.

A gentle and a kindly soul is Gizzy.
He loves Millie, though she makes him dizzy.
Please don't run away
To the Bridge to play,
Millie still needs you, dear Gizzy.

Skeezix

Skeezix must be one of the world's busiest cats. He runs contests, posts news about cats that need our help, runs the blogging cats help center, makes movies and still has time to have adventures and fall in love with Daisy. You can find a link to Skeezix's blog on my sidebar.

Skeezix is our darling boy.
Watching his moovies is a joy.
In his outfits so kyoot,
And bright PINK, to boot,
He's won Daisy's heart. He's her boy.

Daisy the Curly Cat

Daisy is a very interesting cat who has many adventures. She is very adept at stowing away when her Mom tells her that she has to stay home. The newest development in her very busy life is that she and Skeezix have fallen madly in love. You can find a link to Daisy's blog in my sidebar.

There is a curly cat named Daisy,
Who can drive her Skeezix crazy,
As she tiptoes with care
Way up high in the air
On the canopy bed frame, can Daisy.

Timothy Dickens

Timothy Dickens is the third blogging cat that I started reading regularly early on. I really enjoy his adventures. His Wildlife Watch is fun, too. You can find a link to his blog on my sidebar.

Timothy Dickens sure loves his treatsies.
He grabs the can with his feetsies.
He pops the top
And gobbles non-stop.
That's how he helps himself to his treatsies.

Max the Psychokitty

Max was the first kitty blogger that I found (through the Mows) and I enjoyed reading his blog immensely.  Then I followed his links to Oreo and Timothy Dickens and found more and more links to follow.  What followed that was the most fun I have ever had online.  Here's to Max, a cat with real Catitude.

There's a great Psychokitty named Max,
Who's too snarky to stretch and relax.
                                                       Make him mad if you dare;
                                                       He'll barf balls of hair
On your shoes or your pillow, will Max.

You can find a link to Max's blog on my sidebar, if you are not already familiar with him.

Happy Valentine's Day

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day.  I hope you all have a very good time, whatever your plans are.  May you all have long lives filled with love.  All you kitties are very dear to me and I wish you every happiness.

Nyctolops

Some of you may have noticed that Nyctolops is my e-mail handle and wondered about it.  This is Nyctolops, my Muse.  I turn to him when I am feeling down at the mouth.  I also turn to him for inspiration.  Right now, he is helping me practice posting pictures.

Oreo

I got a little amibitious with my first post.  My blog wasn't quite ready yet, but now I think I'm ready to go.  My first limericks will be about my good buddy Oreo, who was one of the first cats I started reading.

There is this great cat named Oreo,
Who is all he should be and more-eo.
He's not named for a cookie
And he's well worth a lookie,
So go visit his blog or his store-eo.

There is a cool cat named Oreo,
Who has adventures by the score-eo.
          This baaad kitty goes riding
          And rolling and gliding
Through the grass and, oh, so much more-eo.

You can find links to Oreo's blog and store on my sidebar.  Oreo hasn't been posting much lately, but his archives are well worth looking through.

If you would like me to write a limerick about you, or add you to my blogroll, just drop me a note in the comments.  I will be adding links to my blogroll as soon as I can.

Getting Started

Hello Everyone,

I have been reading and commenting on kitty blogs for some time now and decided to join in the fun. My idea is to post limericks about the blogging kitties and their friends to celebrate their varied personalities and adventures. I hope to make this a daily blog, but we'll see how it goes. I welcome any comments and suggestions you may have. I'll start with the first limerick in my next post.
