Spooky

Spooky has moved recently, from one house in Florida to another one about two hours by car away.  She hasn't quite adjusted to the change yet, so she is spending a lot of time under the bed. She is a little over nine years old.  Her parents adopted her from a home where she wasn't being treated right. As a result, Spooky isn't as friendly toward people as most Snowshoe Siamese and she doesn't like being picked up or held at all. She also isn't much of a lap cat, but she loves to be brushed. Spooky would love to be a mighty hunter, but she doesn't get much opportunity.  She was occasionally allowed out on the patio, near the pool, where she could hunt anoles, but where she lives now is too close to a pool where alligators have been seen and she can't go out hunting at all any more.  Any bug who wanders into the house had better watch out, though. Spooky does get great quality time with her Dad.  When he gets home from work, he changes out of his work clothes and stretches out on the floor.  Spooky joins him for hanging out and some petting.  Spooky really loves her food, especially Greenies.  She has been known to get a bit grumpy if she doesn't think she is getting enough Greenies.

                                  Spooky really loves her Greenies.
She's been known to call her parents meanies
                                            When they don't come through
                                            With a Greenie or two.
Won't somebody please give Spooky some Greenies?

Greenies smell good to me, just well, I has no back teefs, so cant chew them.

Spooky is very nice looking, I hopes she learns to trust at least one bean in her new furever home. It'll make her feels more safe too!

Karen Jo, you've captured Spooky perfectly! You certainly do your homework before creating your limericks!

Thank you for including our Spooky in your blog!

I'm all for increasing spooky's greenies especially until she gets used to her new place.

Meowthinks -d ma has the right idea. Increasing my daily Greenies would just about do it.

Spooky has the most beautiful blue eyes. I have cherished a deep affection for her for a while now. We long to meet, but alas, all we can do is keep in touch via our blogs.

Thank you for creating a limerick just for her. She really is going through a lot right now, even though for the most part she is facing all the changes with great dignity and courage. And greenies, of course.

Awwww Spooky
Pierro like hanging around under mom and dad's bed. I think that is where he recharges his batteries or something

Yes, please, give Spooky her Greenies. She deserves them. We are glad she likes playing with dad. Dads are fun.

If you're looking for Snowshoe Siamese, I think that Java (javascoffeehouse.blogspot.com) is a snowshoe too!

So many friendly Cats out there...I love all the nice things everyone is purring.

Tiggie, your sweet words positively make my heart flutter...if only you were nearer - we could rub whiskers together and share a Greenie or two.

I think I looked at some Greenies once and decided I didn't like them. If I still had some I would send them to you.

We hope Spooky will come out from under the bed soon. It's a shame she can't to outside to hunt but it's best to be the hunter and not the hunted. So staying indoors is a good idea.

My Bailey is a snowshoe and he doesn't like to be picked up and he really isn't a lap cat. But if you are going to brush him, he doesn't need a second invitation to jump up on your knee. He does like to be where ever I am. Sometimes he gets quite indignant if I don't come and sit at the computer so that he can sleep comfortably in his bed beside me! Greenies are a no-no. He throws up too easily!
