Farewell, Max

Little Girl, a tortie, left her two kittens under car for their future Mom to find when they were only three weeks old. Evidently, she was unable to care for them, but the Mom knew just what to do. They were both bottle fed and cared for and adopted. Little Girl also joined the family. Max was a very calm and loving cat. His Mom called him Mild-Mannered Max. He was just six years old when he went to the Rainbow Bridge. He had recently visited the vet, who found nothing wrong, but he had liver cancer. I don't think anyone should get mad at the vet for not finding it, as cancer in cats is often very hard to diagnose. Max's cancer was very swift, as it only took about a month. He went to the Bridge with his Mom beside him, comforting him as best she could.  His family is missing him very much.

Max went to the Bridge on his own.
He closed his eyes and faced the unknown.
Now he can run and play
                                         With his friends all day,
But his family feels bereft and alone.

Oh, Max. I bet your family misses you something awful, even though you are running free and healthy again!

Max has such shiny fur. I'm sure his family misses him very much. Six is too young. S'mores is so pretty too.
I will keep their families in my thoughts.
I hope all is well with you and your mom Karen Jo.
Have a nice summery week!

Makes me cry too. I had a brother when I came to my new home. He died way too early too, he was only 5. Max was loved to and will be with all of us forever. Max, please tell my Brother Ivan I miss him too. Love ya Max!

Awww....Karen Jo, thank you so much for putting Max on your page! It'll be a week tomorrow and sometimes I think I'm okay, but then I'll see something like this and sob.

Oh, for the record, Little Girl had a habit of leaving young kittens under the car for me to find. Coal was the first on 10/02/01 and Max was in May of
2003. I got her fixed and she started to bring me her sister's kittens! LOL

Brian--- I bet Max and your brother are good friends by now!
