We remember. We remember waking up and thinking "What kind of an idiot can't miss the WTC?!" only to hear the next parts of the news and realize what was happening.
today is such a very sad day for many many people.. For others, it was a happy day at one time. today is the 25th anniversary of mom and dad getting married. Dad was at the Pentagon on 9/11 in the morning at a meeting. We are lucky. He came home to us.
I was on holiday at the time and for some reason (I still don't know why) put the TV on early. The first thing I saw was a plane crashing into a skyscraper. At first I thought it was a "disaster" movie, but a few moments later I realised it was a news item. I still couldn't believe it was real, but a few moments later... well, you know. So many people dead, so much sadness. My eyes still leak for them and theirs. xxx
